Myself in a nutshell: I am an experienced, multi-disciplinary professional with a
significant amount of cross-domain expertise who can thrive within a full spectrum of
operational environments.Commercial, GOV, US or FORN I am comfortable in all zones.
I enjoy complex multi-layered challenges. I also enjoy working with world class talent.
Multinational projects are ideal. Hiding things in plain site is a passion.Building new
things is fun. Retrofitting technology can be a joy. Or a nightmare. Both have their place.
I enjoy ventures that are on the bleeding edge, an element of risk adds some sweetness
to the mix.
In terms of specifics, there are shells and fragments on Linkedin which offer an opaque
picture of my vocation. To really understand, a conversation is required. We can chat and
assemble the disparate pieces into a flowing narrative.
My interests lie in high-tempo consulting, unique startups, offensive cyber/signals or
possibly a traditional W2 if the opportunity is interesting.
danielnowak.com is a website I made as a personal place holder somewhere in 2005/06. Mostly because it seemed like a "good idea" at the time. Largely written in manual HTML, and some even generated by Word...imagine that! All while snacking on proper butter based cookies paired with many an old world espresso. Always accompanied by an even older world K9. It has been quite a ride across the globe since then.
For some perspective, I've been involved in deep tech since the early 90s. Back then, phones were so novel! Remember pagers? Then compute, radios, cellular (Anyone remember AMPS, 1G oh yeah!) Somewhere shortly thereafter a passion for crypto/anonymity/banking soon followed. Now, most time is spent living in some grey-zone between cyber/intelligence/iwar/signals and how they all bridge the kinetic divide. Some may say these are the technical building blocks of culture war. I remain agnostic.
Decades later, here we are. Over the years I've spoken to thousands of people involved in the industry & scene. I hold a stringent longview of our unique trajectory, both psychically and technologically. While there is nothing new under the sun, sometimes we get to glimpse at fragments of the future within that twisted fun-house mirror we call our globalized society.
Contact me for whatever the encrypted comms du jour are. Naturally, I still use PGP/GPG.
